July General Meeting and Swap Meet

Everyone is welcome to attend the April General Meeting and Swap Meet, to be held on Friday the 11th of July. Entry is now FREE!

The meeting starts at 7:30pm and runs through until 9:30pm, then the swap meet takes place until late. There is a strong social element to Melbourne Wireless meetings, including a BBQ with $2 snags and soft drink available.

Everyone is welcome to attend and bring friends, we'll see you there!

The location of the meeting is the Hawthorn Scout Hall.


Yawarra members discount renewed

Map data fixed
01 February 2008
Map coordinates used to be specified in AGD66 coordinate format.  This was always painful.

Now they're stored in the same format that Google Earth / Google Maps / OpenStreetMap / etc use: WGS84.

Well, I'm sitting in the wireless mini-conf at Linux Conference Australia having presented my talk "Visualising the Dream: Online Mapping for Community Wireless Networks".  I'm listening to Daniel Moscon from Air-Stream Wireless give his presentation on Outdoor Wireless.

I've noticed a lot of LCA volunteers are MW members, it's great to see some familiar faces amongst  the crowd.
