ABOUT ME
I got into computers by pulling apart the family's XT. Wow, those
were the days: CGA graphics, MFM hard disks and 360k floppies...
Wireless just appeals to me for some reason. Networking computers and
internet access has always involved cables (I know a group of
housemates that share the internet by having a phone extension long
enough to get to any of their 4 bedrooms - not pretty!) so getting
cable internet speeds on a laptop while up a tree in the backyard has
got to be something to marvel at.
My MelbWireless [1] node is NodeDJJ [2]. I have most of the equipment
I need to be operational, but am just missing a good directional
antenna and a mast. Soon, hopefully.
