Spelling: PALConnector

A PAL Connector [1] (also known as a "Belling-Lee" connector, after
the company Belling Lee [2] who invented them) is a connector for 75
Ohm coaxial cable [3].

PAL Connectors [4] are designed to be extremely cheap to produce, and
as such provide horrible performance. These connectors were designed
to only be used on domestic equipment, and as such you will see them
as antenna input/output sockets on your television sets and VCR's.
Most houses with an antenna mounted on their roof (MATV [5]) will have
one of these on a wall-socket somewhere, too, although the F-Connector
[6] is starting to take over in more professional installations.

While the PAL Connector [7] is a very poor quality connector, its
loss of signal is quite negligable due to the fact that television
signals are usually very powerful, especially with a directional
yagi-style [8] TV antenna mounted on your roof.

PAL Connectors [9] prove to be very pathetic at frequencies above 600
MHz, and are most certainly not suitable for Wireless LAN [10] use.
Instead, you should use an N-Connector [11].
